Cyclists and families who appreciate flat islands with plenty of beaches
Fitting Kos into your route
About Kos
Kos is relatively flat, which makes the island ideal to explore by bike. The main town combines Roman ruins right in the centre with a lively harbour, while the Asklepieion on the edge of town is regarded as the birthplace of medicine under Hippocrates.
The south coast, with beaches like Paradise Beach and Agios Stefanos, is more popular and busier, while the north stays quieter. Kos pairs well with Kalymnos, reachable by a short ferry ride.
