Fitting Kastellorizo into your route
About Kastellorizo
Kastellorizo, also called Megisti, is Greece's easternmost inhabited island, closer to the Turkish coast than to any other Greek land. Its harbor, ringed by tall, colorful Ottoman and Italian-era mansions, was the filming location of Oscar-winning 'Mediterraneo'.
Few sandy beaches exist, so swimming happens mostly off rocks or via boat trips to the Blue Cave, a striking sea cave with glowing blue water.
