About Chalki
Chalki lies just off the west coast of Rhodes, reached by a short ferry crossing. Its port town, Emporio, is a pastel-colored postcard of neoclassical mansions, rebuilt with support from a UNESCO-linked 'Island of Peace and Friendship' initiative.
With one main village and a handful of bays, Chalki has stayed deliberately small-scale: few cars, a walkable center, and good beaches like Pontamos nearby.
