About Serifos
Serifos has a bare, almost lunar landscape shaped by its history as an iron-ore mining island; rusted mining machinery still lines the coast near Megalo Livadi. Its Chora is one of the most striking in the Cyclades, a cascade of white cube houses climbing a steep rock above Livadi harbor.
Beaches like Psili Ammos and Ganema stay less developed than on better-known islands, and the meltemi wind blows hard with little shelter.
