About Amorgos

Amorgos lies on the eastern edge of the Cyclades and is best known for the Hozoviotissa monastery, built like a white ribbon against a 300-metre cliff face. The island gained international fame through the film "Le Grand Bleu" and has since attracted divers keen to explore its clear waters.

Because it sits farther from the main ferry routes, Amorgos has stayed quieter than many other Cyclades islands. Its footpath network is extensive, linking villages like Chora, Langada and Tholaria via old donkey trails with breathtaking views.
